Job Duties

  • Operate tractor-trailer combination with reefer unit
  • Regional routes that may include: Ohio, Pa., Va., Miss., Tenn., Ind., Ky., Mich., Wisc., Ill., Mo., Ar., Ga., Ala., N.C., W.Va., and Texas
  • Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment
  • Maintain accurate daily logs
  • No unloading
  • Verify and complete required documentation and reports
  • Communicate with dispatch as required
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service

Driver Qualifications

  • Two years of recent tractor-trailer experience
  • Must be 21 years old
  • Professional drivers only
  • No more than 4 moving violations or any serious moving violations in the last 36 months
  • No felony convictions within the last 7 years
  • Must be focused on safety and customer service
  • Must satisfactorily pass a drug test if required
  • Must satisfactorily pass physical testing requirements
  • Must be able to hook/unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, manually lower and raise landing gear, operate the fifth-wheel release lever, lock and release pintle hooks, attach and release safety chains, open and close cargo doors, climb into and off of vehicles, fuel vehicles, and check engine oil and coolant levels
